SOUTH WINDSOR — Police are seeking witnesses to a motor vehicle accident in which a police cruiser was struck while conducting traffic control on Route 5 at its intersection with South Satellite Road at approximately 2:55 p.m. Tuesday.
The officer had no apparent injuries but was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The operator of the involved vehicle remained on scene and the accident is under investigation.
