RUSSELL — Police responded to a report of speeding ATVs on Pitcher Street at 4:30 p.m. on June 28.
An officer located an ATV matching the description near the Westfield River bridge on Carrington Road.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the officer confirmed the operator was involved in the Pitcher Street incident.
The ATV operator was identified as a juvenile, and their parents were notified.
The ATV was towed from the scene by Interstate Towing.
The juvenile was cited for operating a recreational vehicle under 18 without a safety course, operating an unregistered recreational vehicle, and operating an unregistered recreational vehicle on a public way.
