OWEGO — The Owego Police Department responded to 127 calls for service during the week of June 23 through June 29.
Five arrests were made, and 10 traffic tickets were issued.
No motor vehicle accidents were reported.
An 18-year-old female from Binghamton was taken into custody for a mental health hold after being reported as a danger to herself.
She was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Donald C. Lovejoy, 64, of Owego, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny issued by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court for DWI proceedings.
He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed driving, following too close, and improper exhaust.
He was turned over to Cortland County authorities for arraignment.
Greg A. Whalen, 48, of Owego, was arrested for obstruction of governmental administration, failure to keep right, passing a red signal, and improper hand signal following a traffic stop and brief pursuit on North Avenue.
He was issued tickets returnable to Owego Village Court.
A 21-year-old female from Owego was taken into custody for a mental health hold after being reported as a danger to herself.
She was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Scott E. Walter, 57, of Vestal, was arrested for trespassing and investigated in connection with a burglary on Main Street.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Owego Village Court.
