HULL — A 15-year-old male was arrested Tuesday on multiple gun-related charges after police responded to a report of a stolen moped.

The Hull Police Department charged the juvenile with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, interfering with a police officer, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card, and using a motor vehicle without authority.

Officers responded to Bay Street at approximately 11:01 a.m. Tuesday after a 911 caller reported a stolen moped.

Officer John Mercer located a male matching the suspect’s description pushing a blue moped near a laundromat on Bay Street.

The suspect briefly struggled as Mercer attempted to detain him.

During a pat frisk, the suspect resisted again before being secured.

A search of the suspect’s fanny pack revealed a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun with a 15-round magazine.

Police are working to determine the firearm’s owner.

The juvenile will be arraigned in Hingham Juvenile Court.
