Freeville man arrested on bench warrant, bail jumping charge

OWEGO — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Micah E. Pado, 28, of Freeville, on June 25 for a bench warrant issued by Tioga County Court and charged him with one count of bail jumping in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

The bench warrant was issued after Pado violated the terms of his probation supervision.

A warrant for his arrest was issued in December 2024 after he failed to appear in County Court.

Pado was arraigned at CAP Court on the bail jumping charge and remanded to Tioga County Jail on $5,000/$10,000 bail.

He was scheduled to appear in Owego Town Court on June 26 before Justice Bennett.

Pado was also produced to County Court for the bench warrant and remanded to jail, with an appearance scheduled for July 7 before Judge Schumacher.

Candor man arrested on traffic warrant

OWEGO — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew B. Parkin of Candor on June 25 for an active arrest warrant issued by Candor Town Court.

Parkin was charged with multiple vehicle and traffic violations after failing to appear for court proceedings related to a vehicle stop investigation.

He was arraigned in CAP Court on June 25 and released on his own recognizance, with a future court date in Candor Town Court.
