2 arrested in Dunkirk after narcotics search yields drugs, gun

DUNKIRK — A search warrant at 501-502 Washington Ave. Upper Rear Apt. led to the arrests of two men following a narcotics investigation.

Narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department executed the warrant, with Dunkirk Police SRT entering the residence.

Bobby Ross and Jamal Robinson were inside the apartment at the time of the search.

Authorities seized 23.3 grams of cocaine, 40 dosage units of heroin, 10.17 grams of ecstasy, scales, packaging materials, a loaded .380 handgun and $1,203 in cash.

Ross was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Robinson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Both men were taken to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in Dunkirk City Court.
