Troy police seize 10 handguns, arrest 7 in Glen Avenue raid

TROY — Troy Police Department’s Emergency Response Team seized 10 handguns and arrested seven people during a search warrant execution Wednesday night at 13 Glen Avenue.

The search warrant was conducted around 10:30 p.m. June 25 in relation to an ongoing weapons investigation.

Troy Police Special Operations Section Detectives had developed information that occupants of the residence possessed illegal firearms.

The Emergency Response Team was assisted by Albany Police Department’s Emergency Services Team during the operation.

Detectives located the 10 handguns along with quantities of fentanyl and marijuana.

Seven adults were found at the residence and taken into custody without incident.

All suspects were brought to Troy Police Department’s station where they were interviewed, processed and charged.

All were arraigned in Troy City Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail.

The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office will handle prosecution of each case.

Troy Police Evidence Technicians continue their work as part of the follow-up investigation to identify the origin of the firearms.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms task force personnel assisted throughout the investigation.

Those arrested include Nikki Brate, 34, of Troy, charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a firearm.

Che Omar Bland, 44, of Schenectady, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Robert F. Bacon, 39, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Connor Ingraham, 18, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Justice L. Walker, 19, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Samir C. Rorie, 18, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Alexus Hargrove, 26, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
