SYRACUSE — Deputies from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office responded to The Hearth at Greenpoint, located at 150 Old Liverpool Road, on July 1 for a report of a missing endangered individual.

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that John W. Logatto was dropped off at a doctor’s appointment at 620 Erie Blvd. West at approximately 10 a.m.

When the transport bus returned to pick him up around noon, staff advised that Logatto had walked out of the clinic on his own.

Investigation revealed that Logatto has a history of similar behavior and has, in past instances, been located within a week, often at hotels or VA clinics across New York state.

Logatto is described as 75 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 176 pounds.

He is light-skinned with blue eyes, bald with white hair.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, navy blue sweatpants and sneakers.

Due to medical concerns and the circumstances of his disappearance, Logatto is considered a missing endangered person.

Anyone with information regarding Logatto’s whereabouts is urged to contact 911.
