ST. JOHNSBURY — A 21-year-old Morristown woman was charged with assaulting three correctional officers at the Northeast Correctional Complex early Friday morning.
Faith Ladue was cited for three counts of assault of a protected professional following an incident that occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. May 30 at the facility located at 1270 US Route 5.
Vermont State Police said the assault took place during the intake process at the correctional complex.
The victims were identified as correctional officers Warner Chaplain, 25, of St. Johnsbury; Bethany Emmons, 38, of St. Johnsbury; and Sarah Lewis, 21, of St. Johnsbury.
Police said Ladue assaulted two of the officers and attempted to assault the third during the incident.
Staff at the Northeast Correctional Complex reported the assault to Vermont State Police.
Following an investigation, police developed probable cause to charge Ladue with the offenses.
Ladue was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court at a later date.
