SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested a 55-year-old Middletown man on drug and vehicle theft charges after locating a stolen car Monday night.
Phasulo Mandowa was taken into custody at 8:32 p.m. Monday during a traffic stop on the Interstate 84 on-ramp in Manchester, according to the South Windsor Police Department.
Officers had been alerted to a stolen vehicle traveling southbound on Buckland Road before locating and stopping the car.
Police found crack cocaine on Mandowa during the arrest process.
Mandowa was charged with possession of a controlled substance and larceny of a motor vehicle.
He was held on $10,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
