Rhode Island State Police make 3 arrests on drug, assault charges

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested Nizayah Wright, of Central Falls, for simple assault on Monday, June 30 at 1:41 p.m.

The arrest resulted from troopers assisting the Capitol Police with an incident at the Sixth Division District Court.

Wright was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Monday, June 30 at 2:20 p.m., troopers arrested Henrry Hernandez, age 31, of Providence, for possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I to V controlled substance (fentanyl), possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I to V controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of marijuana greater than two ounces.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Hawthorne Avenue in the city of Providence.

Hernandez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

On Tuesday, July 1 at 1:56 a.m., troopers arrested Malcom Gill, age 50, of Providence, for possession of a controlled substance Schedule I to V less than 10 grams (cocaine).

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in the city of Providence.

Gill was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment at the Sixth Division District Court.
