BROOKFIELD — A 24-year-old Randolph man was charged with driving under the influence after a single-vehicle crash on School House Road Monday evening.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton barracks responded to the crash at approximately 6:50 p.m.
The operator was identified as Ashton Bachand, who was driving a 2024 Ford F-350.
Troopers determined Bachand was under the influence of intoxicants and was operating in a negligent manner.
The vehicle sustained damage to the front driver’s side.
Bachand was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.
He was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on July 16 at 8:30 a.m.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.
