HOMER — New York State Police arrested Jason Allen, 40, of Liverpool on June 30 on felony charges stemming from an embezzlement investigation at a local auto dealership.
Allen faces Class D felony charges of forgery in the second degree and grand larceny in the third degree.
The arrest follows an investigation that began June 19 into allegations Allen embezzled more than $13,000 while employed at a Cortland County auto dealership.
Police accuse Allen of signing referral checks intended for dealership customers and endorsing the checks to himself.
Allen was processed at State Police Homer and transported to Cortland County Jail for centralized arraignment.
