Electric bicycle rider killed in collision on County Route 39 in Louisville

LOUISVILLE — New York State Police responded to a collision between a car and an electric bicycle on County Route 39 in the town of Louisville on June 28 at approximately 9:39 p.m.

An investigation revealed that Paul P. Cameron, age 41, from Chase Mills, was riding his electric bicycle south on County Route 39.

At the same time, Kyle D. Toomey, age 29, from DeKalb Junction, was driving a green 1999 Buick LeSabre in the same lane.

Toomey did not see the electric bicycle and struck Cameron, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
