BOSTON — Drug Control Units from Boston Police Districts C-11 and C-6 arrested three suspects Monday following the execution of search warrants in Dorchester.

Ramon Pinnick, 34, of Dorchester, Celso Depina, 37, of Mattapan, and Andry Materano, 25, of Dorchester, were taken into custody on various drug-related charges.

Officers conducted surveillance outside 135 E. Cottage Street as part of an investigation prompted by ongoing community complaints.

Police observed multiple known drug users approach a patio window over several weeks, making contact with a person inside before leaving after brief interactions believed to be drug transactions.

An undercover officer conducted a drug purchase from the location to confirm the target was inside the building.

Officers observed Pinnick exit the building on an electric scooter and stopped him near 187 E. Cottage Street, where he was advised of search warrants for his person and residence.

As police approached the building, a vehicle attempted to flee the area.

Officers ordered the driver to stop and exit the vehicle.

When Depina exited, police observed two plastic bags of crack cocaine, a stack of U.S. currency and an open beer bottle inside the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle yielded 21 plastic bags of crack cocaine and $893 in U.S. currency after officers determined Depina did not have a valid license.

At the residence, officers executed the search warrant and placed Materano in custody.

The search recovered crack cocaine, a digital scale and drug packaging materials.

All three suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

Pinnick faces charges of conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs and distribution of Class B drugs.

Materano faces charges of conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs and distribution of Class B drugs.

Depina faces charges of trafficking Class B drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
