Springfield police arrest teen after firearm investigation

SPRINGFIELD — Members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit arrested an 18-year-old man and seized a loaded firearm Friday evening following a months-long investigation.

Police arrested Quodrevian Roman at approximately 7:45 p.m. on the 300 block of Main Street in Indian Orchard.

Detectives had been investigating Roman for illegal possession of a firearm for several months under the direction of Sergeant Evan Donermeyer.

When detectives approached Roman, he began running away while holding his waistband, police said.

After a brief foot pursuit, Roman was taken into custody.

Detectives recovered a firearm from Roman and placed him under arrest.

Roman of Springfield is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug.
