NEWBURY — A motorcyclist was hospitalized with suspected moderate injuries after crossing the center line and colliding with a pickup truck on Railroad Street on June 29.
Samuel Mattson, 32, of Marshfield was traveling west on his 2009 Harley Davidson FXDL at approximately 6:10 p.m. when he failed to navigate a corner near U.S. Route 5, according to Vermont State Police.
Mattson crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, where he collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Cole King, 19, of Newbury.
Mattson was transported to Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, New Hampshire, with suspected moderate injuries.
King was not injured in the crash.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
Woodsville Ambulance and Wells River Fire Department assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and criminal charges are expected, pending the conclusion of the investigation, state police said.
Weather conditions were cloudy with dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
