MILFORD — On Monday, June 30, at approximately 2:03 a.m. the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to 14 Prospect St., Milford Hospital to investigate a report of a male with a large laceration to his hand.
In interviewing the victim, officers were able to ascertain that he was attacked at an East Main St. residence by a male known to him.
At 4:55 a.m., overnight patrol officers made their way to the residence in question where they observed a large amount of dry blood scattered around the apartment and a broken glass believed to be weapon that caused the laceration.
As a result of the investigation, officers arrested Claudnei Leonidio Batista, 39, of Milford and charged him with assault and battery with dangerous weapon.
