NEW HARTFORD — A New York Mills man is facing two felony counts of criminal contempt after an incident at Hartford Mills Apartments.
Max Goracy was arrested Thursday by members of the New Hartford Police Department Criminal Investigation and Patrol Division.
Police patrol units were called to an apartment at the Hartford Mills Apartments on New Hartford Street Wednesday evening to assist EMS with a medical call.
While on scene, officers discovered that Goracy was in violation of a court-ordered stay away order of protection involving another family member who resided at the apartment.
The order prohibited Goracy from being at the apartment.
Further investigation led police to find other violations of the same court order of protection.
Goracy was transported to the New Hartford Police Department where he was processed and charged with two counts of criminal contempt in the first degree, a Class E felony.
Goracy was arraigned in New Hartford Town Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail.
