WICKFORD — A West Warwick man was arrested on drunken driving charges early Thursday following a motor vehicle accident on Route 4 in North Kingstown.
State police arrested Juan Carlos Leon Ayala, 23, of 18 Fox Run Drive, West Warwick, at 1:50 a.m.
Ayala was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
Ayala was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
