SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old Springfield man was arrested Monday afternoon for violating his court-ordered conditions of release.

Nicholas Macie Sr. was taken into custody at 3:50 p.m. on June 16 at 78 Valley Street, according to the Springfield Police Department.

Officers Callahan and Herrington were at the residence looking for an individual with an active arrest warrant when Officer Callahan observed Macie with someone identified as a victim from a previous incident.

Macie had court conditions prohibiting contact with the victim, police said.

He was fingerprinted, photographed and issued a criminal citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on June 17 at 12:30 p.m.

Macie was released on citation with new court conditions.

The incident was investigated by Officers Callahan, Freeman and Herrington.
