PERU — Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking public assistance in locating a dark Ford Explorer that struck a bicyclist and fled the scene on June 27.
The incident occurred at approximately 12 p.m. on Felton Road when the vehicle struck a 61-year-old female bicyclist who was also traveling north, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Witnesses reported the Ford Explorer had tinted windows and accelerated away from the scene toward State Route 22B after the collision.
The victim was evaluated on scene by emergency medical services for pain and abrasions.
Morrisonville EMS transported her to UVM-CVPH for further evaluation.
She was still being treated for minor injuries at the time of the sheriff’s office press release.
Peru Fire Department/EMS and Morrisonville EMS assisted at the scene.
