YONKERS — Police say a 69-year-old man with dementia who went missing after taking a family member’s vehicle has been found safe.
Luis Sanchez was located Friday morning, according to the Yonkers Police Department.
Police had been searching for Sanchez since he was last seen in Yonkers after taking a family member’s vehicle without permission.
Sanchez is 5 feet 11 inches tall with short gray hair and was last seen wearing a dark brown polo shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
He had been driving a gray 2016 Toyota RAV4 with New York license plates JCT7398.
The vehicle was recently spotted in Brooklyn.
The Yonkers Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit had been investigating the case.
