Franklin man arrested for wrong-way driving on Northfield interstate

NORTHFIELD — A Franklin man was arrested after driving the wrong way on Interstate 93.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, State Police dispatch began receiving reports of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-93 in Tilton at a high rate of speed.

Troopers assigned to the Troop D barracks responded and located the vehicle, a 2000 Toyota Camry, stopped in the left lane of I-93 in Northfield, just north of the Canterbury town line.

Following a roadside investigation, the driver of the Camry was taken into custody and identified as Brendon L. Angus, 25, of Franklin.

Angus was booked at the Troop D barracks before being transported to the Merrimack County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in Concord District Court on charges of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence.
