UTICA — Investigators with the Utica Police Department Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant June 26 at 1315 Oswego St. as part of an investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics.
The search resulted in the seizure of felony amounts of cocaine and nearly $3,000 in U.S. currency.
Jorge Lopez, 43, of Utica, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree for intent to sell and weight.
Lopez also was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
The Special Investigations Unit was assisted by Warrants Unit members and UPD Patrol in executing the warrant.
