PUTNEY — A 42-year-old Norwich, Connecticut man was arrested early Thursday morning on charges stemming from bomb threats made at a local business last summer.
Christopher D. Pina of 62 Summit Street was taken into custody by Connecticut State Police at approximately 2:15 a.m. on June 26 without incident, according to the Putnam Police Department.
The charges stem from two separate bomb threat incidents that occurred in July 2024 at a local business.
Police investigations identified Pina, a former employee of the business, as the person responsible for the threats.
The Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office issued two arrest warrants for Pina following the criminal investigation.
Pina faces two counts of threatening in the first degree.
He was held on a combined court-set bond of $150,000 cash-surety and transported to Danielson Superior Court for arraignment.
