Providence police make 3 arrests on warrants, assault charges

PROVIDENCE — State police arrested a 56-year-old Providence woman Thursday on a domestic assault warrant during a traffic stop on Route 95 South.

Troopers arrested Alina Diaz of 30 Sibley Street at 11:42 a.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault originating from the Providence Police Department.

Diaz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to Providence police custody.

At 11:47 a.m., Trooper Thomas arrested Wesley Nalls, 22, of 125 Springfield Street, Providence, for simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation conducted by Lincoln Woods Barracks and the Pawtucket Police Department.

Nalls was transported to Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and presented as a violator at Sixth District Court for afternoon arraignment.

At 1:47 p.m., troopers arrested Jonathan Williams, 42, of 460 Pine Street, Providence, on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

The warrant originated from the Providence Police Department.

Williams was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue in Providence.

He was transported to Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center.
