DEERFIELD — A shooting suspect was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase across multiple New Hampshire towns that ended in Deerfield on Tuesday night.

Rockingham County Sheriff’s Dispatch received reports of a shooting at Hampton Beach at 8:33 p.m. on June 24.

Police obtained a description of a vehicle the suspect may have used to flee the scene.

Epping Police Department officers spotted the vehicle traveling westbound on Route 101 in Epping shortly after the initial report.

New Hampshire State Police troopers and Epping officers attempted a felony stop, but the driver failed to stop and a pursuit began.

A Brentwood officer caught up to the fleeing vehicle, which maintained high speeds westbound on Route 101 from Epping to Candia.

The suspect took Exit 3 in Candia, where Deerfield Officer St. Onge joined the Brentwood officer in the pursuit.

Deerfield Officer Burroughs successfully deployed a tire deflation device as the suspect continued north toward Deerfield.

The suspect continued at reduced speed into Deerfield and attempted to brake check the Brentwood officer, causing a minor collision.

The driver and passenger then fled the vehicle on foot.

Officer St. Onge assisted Brentwood Sgt. Spitalere in detaining the passenger.

New Hampshire State Police troopers and officers from Epping, Raymond, Candia and Auburn quickly established a perimeter.

A Rockingham County Sheriff’s Deputy K9 and drone unit, Auburn K9, Nottingham drone and Massachusetts State Police Air Wing joined the search.

The suspect surrendered to officers without incident after approximately one hour.
