BOSTON — Members of the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force and Boston Police Special Investigation Unit arrested a 56-year-old Dorchester man Thursday following the execution of a search warrant that recovered drugs and a firearm.
Ryan Robinson was taken into custody at approximately 9:09 a.m. after investigators observed him exit his residence at 323 Seaver Street in Dorchester.
Officers approached Robinson as he walked toward a nearby vehicle, identified themselves and detained him.
Police seized Robinson’s cellphone, wallet and keys before entering his apartment to execute the search warrant obtained from Dorchester District Court.
Using Robinson’s keys, FBI task force members announced their presence and entered the apartment, where they encountered one male inside the unit and a male and female in the adjacent hallway.
The search of Robinson’s bedroom recovered approximately 515 grams of cocaine, 61 grams of crack cocaine, and 412 grams of crack cocaine packaged in 14 smaller bags.
Additional items seized included powder cocaine, four plastic bags containing fentanyl, a loaded black and silver firearm with six rounds, two magazines, and 12 unspent .380 caliber rounds.
Police also recovered 84 multicolored pills of unknown substance, a pepper gun with cartridges, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Investigators observed cutting agents, tools, a digital scale and a blender in the kitchen, along with glass containers appearing to contain cocaine residue.
Robinson is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges including trafficking Class B substances, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
