Westbrook police arrest Portland man in multi-year home repair fraud case

WESTBROOK — Following a lengthy investigation involving multiple victims, the Westbrook Police Department presented a significant home repair fraud case to the Cumberland County Grand Jury, resulting in an indictment against a suspect.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued.

This week, Westbrook police officers arrested Timothy Galvez, 33, of Portland, on the felony arrest warrant.

Investigators believe the home repair fraud scheme has been ongoing for several years.

To date, officers have identified at least 14 victims, with total monetary losses amounting to several hundred thousand dollars.
