WATERTOWN — State Police responded to a residence on Ridge Road in the town of Watertown for a reported domestic dispute involving a knife at 10:12 p.m. June 23.
Troopers arrived on scene and interviewed the parties involved.
A male victim told troopers that a female entered his residence without permission, struck him in the head with a dragon figurine, and ran after him with a knife.
Troopers found the male holding his head with blood running down his face.
He was evaluated on scene by EMS and transported by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center for further treatment.
Troopers detained Heather L. Gilbert, age 48, from Watertown, as they conducted their investigation.
After the investigation, Gilbert was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree, menacing in the second degree, burglary in the second degree, criminal contempt in the first degree for violating an order of protection, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
Gilbert was processed at SP Watertown and transported to Jefferson County CAP Court, where she was held on $500 bail.
