Somerville police report multiple robberies, assaults over week

SOMERVILLE — Somerville Police responded to multiple incidents of robbery and assault between June 17 and June 23, according to department reports.

On June 17 at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Greenwood Terrace for a breaking and entering report.

The victim told police two bicycles were stolen from his enclosed porch.

Earlier that evening at approximately 7:42 p.m., police responded to a business on Canal Street for a larceny.

The victim reported a female suspect shoplifted items from the store, then shoved him to the ground when confronted before fleeing with the stolen merchandise.

On June 22 at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to Innerbelt Road for a dispute between two females who got into a fight with each other.

That same day at approximately 10:04 a.m., police responded to a business on Broadway for a larceny incident.

The victim told officers a female suspect got into a dispute over damaged laundry, then stole cash from the register and assaulted the victim before fleeing.

Officers identified the female suspect in that incident.

On June 23 at approximately 6:20 p.m., police responded to a business in Assembly Row for a larceny.

The victim reported a male suspect began shoplifting, then shoved the victim when confronted and fled with stolen items.

Police also reported two incidents of vandalism, one package theft, two bicycle thefts and three car break-ins during the same period.
