PAINTED POST — New York State Police from SP Painted Post arrested Raychel M. Finnerty, age 32, of Painted Post, following a domestic-related incident resulting in significant property damage on June 17 at a residence on Redwood Circle in the town of Erwin.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., troopers responded to 40 Redwood Circle for a report of damage to an apartment at 13 Redwood Circle.
The investigation determined that Finnerty had driven to the location following a dispute with a male acquaintance.
Authorities said Finnerty approached the apartment, forcibly entered, and damaged the front door during a confrontation.
A child was present during the altercation.
Finnerty was taken into custody without incident and transported to SP Painted Post for processing.
She was charged with burglary in the second degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal tampering in the third degree.
Finnerty was arraigned in Steuben County CAP Court and released on her own recognizance.
