NORTH GREENBUSH — A North Greenbush man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into the alleged promotion and possession of child sexual exploitation images and illegal weapons, police said.
Evan C. Hennessy Yunck, 43, was taken into custody June 25 by State Police of Schodack with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the North Greenbush Police Department.
Authorities said Hennessy Yunck faces charges including promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony; possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony; and six counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Hennessy Yunck’s North Greenbush residence Wednesday after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Police said they located images consistent with child sexual exploitation and seized three illegally possessed firearms and multiple illegally possessed high-capacity magazines during the search.
Hennessy Yunck was brought to SP Schodack for processing before being arraigned at the North Greenbush Town Court.
He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $35,000 cash or $350,000 bond.
