Utica man arrested after found naked in apartment, stealing food and clothes

UTICA — Utica Police units were dispatched to 1216 Gray Ave regarding a burglary investigation on June 24 at approximately 6:50 a.m.

Upon arrival they spoke with a victim who stated that when he awoke he noticed an unknown naked male lying on the living room floor of his apartment.

He did not recognize the male, and began to order him to leave the apartment.

After several commands, the male grabbed the victim’s clothing and began to dress with it before fleeing the apartment.

Additionally, the victim noticed that the suspect had removed food from his refrigerator and consumed some of it.

A description of the male, and the clothing was provided, and officers began a canvas of the complex in an effort to locate him.

An officer in the lobby noticed that the elevator was repeatedly opening and closing with no one exiting and went to inspect why.

Upon doing so the officer noticed a party matching the description provided and detained the party for investigation.

Upon positively identifying this male, then learned to be Christopher Pollard age 38, no known address, Pollard was advised he was under arrest and transported to the Utica Police Department.

At the conclusion of the incident Pollard was charged by the Criminal Investigations Division with burglary in the second degree and petit larceny.
