GREENBURGH — State Police arrested Santiago Ramirez Canela, 46, of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, for aggravated DWI, driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and vehicle and traffic violations on June 22.
At approximately 11:22 p.m., troopers on patrol initiated a traffic stop on a 2022 Toyota Highlander traveling on I-87 northbound in the town of Greenburgh for failing to stay in its lane.
While interviewing the driver, identified as Ramirez Canela, troopers observed signs of impairment and administered standardized field sobriety tests, which Ramirez Canela failed.
During the investigation, it was determined that Ramirez Canela had two children in the vehicle with him.
Ramirez Canela was transported to SP Tarrytown for processing where he recorded a 0.08% BAC.
Ramirez Canela was issued a ticket to appear in court on July 8.
