BOYLSTON — Police executed a search warrant at a Trail Side apartment on Shrewsbury Street on Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m.
The warrant was obtained after the FBI’s Worcester Field Office alerted Boylston detectives to online threats of a violent and antisemitic nature, which were accompanied by images depicting what appeared to be firearms.
Detectives identified and interviewed a reporting party, who confirmed the credibility of the threats.
The posts referenced potential acts of violence at places of worship.
As members of the Boylston and Sterling police departments, FBI agents, and the CEMLEC SWAT team initiated the operation, the individual of interest exited the residence and was detained without incident.
The individual was later evaluated on scene and transported to a local hospital for further care.
The search of the residence remains active and ongoing.
