PLATTSBURGH — A 33-year-old Plattsburgh man was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with assault while confined at the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
Christopher J. Waterson was taken into custody at 5:07 p.m. June 19 by Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies.
Waterson is charged with second-degree assault while confined in a correctional facility, a felony.
Deputies allege Waterson and another inmate struck an individual during an altercation at the jail, causing injury.
An arrest warrant was issued after Waterson was transferred to another correctional facility following the incident.
Waterson was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and given an appearance ticket for Plattsburgh Town Court.
He is being held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility on an unrelated matter.
