KIRKWOOD — An Endicott man is facing a felony charge after allegedly stealing 27 iPhones from a FedEx facility while he was working for the company.
Members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol responded to a larceny complaint at FedEx Freight East on Industrial Park Drive at approximately 4 a.m. Friday.
The security specialist at the facility reported that one of their employees had been stealing from an inventory of Apple iPhones since April by sneaking them inside his coat pocket.
Following an investigation that included review of security footage, Leon J. Roberts, 22, of Endicott, was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a Class D felony.
Roberts was arraigned at Central Arraignment Part and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Kirkwood Court.
