CORTLANDVILLE — A 50-year-old Cortland man was arrested June 20 on charges of vandalizing two transit buses at the Centro of Cortland bus facility.
David W. Thompson of Church Street was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, criminal trespass in the third degree and trespass, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to the bus facility June 19 for a criminal mischief investigation.
The vandalism occurred June 17 when Thompson allegedly accessed the private property without permission and damaged both transit buses parked there.
Thompson was located and arrested at 11:40 a.m. June 20 and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He was released on his own recognizance and issued appearance tickets.
Thompson is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Town of Cortlandville Court July 7 at 1:00 p.m.
