BOSTON — Officers assigned to the District B-3 arrested Tristian Howard, 22, of Brockton, on firearm offenses Monday.

At 8:23 a.m., officers responded to the area of 7 Woodbole Avenue for a report of a person with a gun.

The suspect was seen arriving in the area on a moped and lifted up his shirt, which revealed the handle of a firearm inside of his waistband.

The firearm was determined to be a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine.

Officers conducted an inquiry of the mopeds located on scene and determined that both had been recently reported stolen, which were then towed from the scene.

Howard was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

A second suspect, Kenny JN Leys, 22, of Roxbury, was determined to have an active warrant for his arrest out of West Roxbury District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
