SPRINGFIELD — A 38-year-old Springfield man has been charged with burglary, unlawful mischief and petit larceny in connection with a break-in at a Main Street business.
Justin D. Fiske was issued a criminal citation following an investigation into a burglary reported June 6 at 56 Main Street.
Police said the incident occurred June 5 at approximately 8 p.m.
Officers determined Fiske allegedly entered the building by forcefully removing and pushing in a window-mounted air conditioning unit.
Once inside, he allegedly stole an item from the office area, according to police.
Fiske had already been taken into custody at approximately 10 p.m. June 5 on an unrelated in-state warrant.
He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on June 9 at 12:30 p.m.
Fiske is being held at Southern State Correctional Facility.
