PROVIDENCE — A 36-year-old Providence woman was arrested following a fatal motor vehicle accident on Route 95 South.
Rhode Island State Police arrested Licheva Castro of 460 Pine Street at 11:50 p.m.
Castro faces charges including driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs resulting in death, driving to endanger resulting in death, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and driving with a suspended/revoked/cancelled license.
Police also executed an active arrest warrant against Castro for possession of cocaine and obstruction of a police officer.
Castro was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
She was transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Women’s Intake Center pending morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court as a bail and probation violator.
