MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department units were dispatched at approximately 12:53 a.m. today to a reported structure fire at 387 Bailey Road.
Upon arrival, the homeowner reported to Chief Reynolds that there was a fire in the ceiling of the bathroom.
Engine 223 arrived and the crew quickly extinguished the fire after the homeowner had knocked the fire down with a fire extinguisher.
Truck 221’s crew checked for extension.
Montgomery was assisted on scene by Coldenham Truck 205 and Walden Tanker 239, as well as the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit, Central Hudson and the Town of Montgomery building inspector.
Units were back in service at approximately 2 a.m.
