NORWALK — A 36-year-old Fairfield man was extradited from Florida on June 22 to face multiple outstanding warrants in Connecticut, including charges related to domestic violence investigations.
Jacob Getman of 58 Garden Drive was arrested by Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division officers who traveled to Florida to bring him back to Connecticut.
The Norwalk Police Department was contacted in November 2023 by the Desoto Correctional Institution in Florida regarding Getman, who was serving time for domestic-related charges and had outstanding warrants from Norwalk.
Getman was scheduled for release from the Florida facility in June.
During their investigation, Norwalk officers discovered Getman was wanted on numerous warrants from Norwalk and other local jurisdictions, with several stemming from domestic violence investigations.
Getman was unable to post bond totaling $280,000 for all warrants.
He faces four counts of failure to appear in the first degree, one count of failure to appear in the second degree, two counts of violation of a protective order and two counts of violation of probation.
Getman is scheduled to appear at Stamford Court on June 23.
