LOCKE — A 57-year-old woman was arrested June 12 on a criminal contempt charge after allegedly violating an order of protection.
Shantel Yaw of Locke was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, an A-misdemeanor, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies were dispatched at 7:23 a.m. to a residence in the Town of Locke for an order of protection violation investigation.
Upon investigation, deputies found Yaw in the presence of the protected party of a full stay-away order of protection.
Yaw was arrested at 8:15 a.m. and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree.
She was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment and released after posting $2,500 bail.
A future court date was set for the Town of Locke Court.
