SHAFTSBURY — A 49-year-old Bennington man was arrested on his fifth DUI charge Sunday evening at Lake Shaftsbury State Park.
Mark A. McIntire was observed operating a motor vehicle while showing signs of alcohol impairment at 6:55 p.m. June 22, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers discovered McIntire was operating the vehicle with a criminally suspended license, marking his third driving with license suspended charge.
McIntire was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the state police barracks for processing.
He was issued a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court to answer the charges.
