CHAZY — State Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the vicinity of 1547 Lake Shore Road on June 20 at approximately 12:07 p.m.
The investigation revealed a 2024 Ford Bronco, operated by 18-year-old Kennedy C. Columbus of Chazy, was traveling west on Lake Shore Road when a tree fell from the north shoulder of the roadway and struck her vehicle.
Columbus’ vehicle overturned and struck a utility pole, which caused the power lines to disconnect.
Columbus was pronounced deceased on scene.
Columbus was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
