SAINT JOHNSBURY — A 49-year-old Saint Johnsbury man was arrested Friday evening on multiple charges including violation of conditions of release and driving with a criminally suspended license.
Ryan Larocque was taken into custody at 7:05 p.m. during a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and East Village Road.
State police troopers from the Saint Johnsbury Barracks were conducting routine patrol when they observed a minor motor vehicle infraction and initiated the traffic stop.
During the investigation, troopers determined Larocque was violating court-ordered conditions of release and had a criminally suspended license.
Police also discovered Larocque had an active in-state arrest warrant and was required to have an ignition interlock device, which he did not have.
Larocque was arrested without incident and transported to the Saint Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.
He faces charges of violation of conditions of release, driving with a criminally suspended license, and interlock ignition device required, in addition to the arrest warrant.
Larocque was lodged at Northeast Correctional Complex in Saint Johnsbury on $200 bail.
He is scheduled to appear Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Caledonia County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
