Rhode Island man arrested on obstruction charge in Hope Valley

HOPE VALLEY — Troopers arrested Jaime A. Ramirez, Jr., age 27, of 14 Brenden Street, Westerly on Friday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. for obstructing officer in execution of duty.

The arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and Ramirez turning himself in at Fourth Division District Court.

Ramirez was later transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and released.

On Saturday, June 21 at 12:53 a.m., troopers arrested Kevin L. Conklin, age 36, of 40 Baker Street, Warwick for a Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for determination of attorney on the original charge of manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to manufacture/deliver Schedule I/II originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich.

Conklin was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center.
